A multimedia journalist in pursuit of two bachelor's degrees in digital/print journalism and political science at the University of North Texas, John Forbes is a young, passionate and ambitious journalist ready to cover the world.

John's reporting covers multiple beats including the environment, education/higher education, business and more - some picked up by state-wide and national publications such as the Dallas Morning News, Texas Tribune and the Chronicle of Higher Education.

In his work he has assumed roles as a reporting fellow with the Fort Worth Report, a freelance reporter for the South Bend Tribune and the news editor for the North Texas Daily where he led a team of 10-15 student journalists.

John also has extensive experience in photography, and prides himself on capturing eye-catching and emotionally captivating images that encapsulate and seamlessly pair with its article's topic.
